About me

Despite having had an interest in cameras my whole life, a trait given to me by my grandfather, I had only ever dipped my toe into the world of photography.

Once I grew up, my interest became stronger, using my phone to take pictures, being directed by my mum on how to take the best Instagram photos for her. But the gears really started turning once I got my first camera, an old Lumix GF-1 that my aunt no longer used. Armed with the kit lens and a 100-300mm I had purchased, the story began.

Beginning my journey at the start of 2025, I made a personal goal, with encouragement from a friend, to upload an image every day for the 365 days of the year. Forcing me to get out with my camera, something I had always been too shy to do. My early days were spent playing around with street photography, but I quickly realised that wildlife was my calling.

My photography journey has taken me to places I never thought I’d end up in, getting up at all sorts of hours to venture out in the rain and cold when I’d normally be tucked up in bed. It’s given me the opportunity to see some of the most awe-inspiring spectacles that I never even imagined you could see.

Looking back at this past year I can see how much progress I have made and it leaves me excited to see what the next few years will hold. I’d love for you to follow along with my journey, and if you would like to start a journey of your own, but perhaps just need a helping hand, feel free to get in touch and I can do my best to help by sharing what I’ve learned.
